Round 19 Project Application

Interested sponsors for Transportation Enhancement (TE) funding are required to fill out a Project Application and Cost Estimate Form. In addition, interested sponsors for future TE projects are encouraged to be familiar with the Evaluation Criteria to learn the criteria involved in the rating of project applications.

ADOT has entered into it next funding cycle which is called Round 19. The Round 19 application documents are available for download at the Application Documents Web page.

Application Components

Upon preparing the application, the applicant must work with their local MPO/COG. Project information must include a complete budget that includes all necessary work such as earthwork, drainage modifications, retaining walls, or hazardous materials abatement.

Due Dates

Each MPO/COG has their own due date for the applications, which are during the early summer months. ADOT requires all MPOs/COGs to submit applications to ADOT Transportation Enhancement no later than July 10, 2012.

Where to Send Application

The sponsor sends these documents to their respective Metropolitan Planning Organization/Council of Government (MPO/COG) to be considered for TE funding.

Review of Applications

The ADOT Transportation Enhancement staff will send the full set of project applications to members of the Transportation Enhancement Review Committee (TERC) in the late summer 2012. The TERC will meet to review the applications in October, and recommend which projects are to be awarded for funding to the State Transportation Board. The State Transportation Board acts on the TERC recommendations, and make the official awards late in the calendar year. Award letters go out in January 2013.
