Training and Engineers In Training

ADOT Roadway Drainage offers a comprehensive training opportunity to Engineers In Training and ADOT personnel, to provide the basic background necessary to do drainage work. The hands on training is organized through problem solving of situations encountered in practice.

At completion of the program the new engineer is well versed in hydrologic analysis of single and multibasin watersheds by various methods, culvert design, design of energy dissipators (if time permits), open channel hydraulics analysis, hydraulics analysis and design of bridge transitions and pavement drainage analysis with design of storm sewers. Computer modeling is done with HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, WMS, HY-8, HY-Energy and drainage utility programs designed by ADOT.

All ADOT employees are welcome for training.
