The award process of new Transportation Enhancement (TE)
projects begins in the spring with the announcement of the
new application for the next round cycle. It culminates in
November/December when the State Transportation approves the
new projects. Below is the steps involved in this process.
Metropolitan Planning Organizations / Council of Governments
These organizations assist ADOT in screening the project applications
that arrive every application cycle.
Field Visits
These visits by ADOT staff are to ascertain the constructability
of submitted TE applications.
Transportation
Enhancement Review Committee
This committee ranks and recommends projects for TE funding.
State Transportation Board
The Board makes the final decision on which applications get TE funding.
