Providing accurate cost estimates are critical to the funding of a Transportation Enhancement (TE) project application.
Applicants who might intentionally submit a cost estimate that is substantially lower than the actual cost of the work to be provided, in an effort to obtain a higher ranking, are not viewed favorably during the award process.
For projects using federal funds for design, the project
sponsor must reimburse the Federal Highway Administration
for design funds expended if the project is not constructed.
The Cost Estimate form for the new Round 19 funding cycle
is available at the Application
Documents Web page.
