When ADOT Transportation Enhancement (TE) staff reviews project
applications, they conduct field visits to evaluate the constructability of the proposal. The
review includes evaluating topography, land uses, vegetation.
The review identifies any problem areas that would drive up
the cost or present substantial delays to the development
of the project.
The findings of the reviews are discussed with the Transportation
Enhancement Review Committee, (TERC) when they meet in October
to deliberate the TE applications. The TERC will consider
the constructability reviews in recommending projects for
funding to the State Transportation Board.
