Project Information
The Yuma Crossing Multi-use Pathway and Historic Bridge
Rehabilitation is located in downtown Yuma, featuring a
pedestrian travel-way as well as a bike path which connects
the pathway system along the Colorado River. The project
starts at Madison Avenue, at the roundabout, and ends at
the Colorado Trail. The Colorado Trail runs along the River
and connects Gateway Park, Yuma West Wetlands, and Joe Henry
Park. The Colorado Trail also connects to the East Main
Canal pathway at 10th Avenue, running south to 21st Street.

• Rehabilitate the 2nd Avenue Historic Bridge for
pedestrians and bicyclists
• Construct 1,850 feet of 10-foot wide pavement with
shoulders
• Construct retaining walls near the entrance to
the Yuma Crossing State Historic Park
• Provide lighting and benches
• Provide landscaping for more shading
